


This fall, the Society of Petroleum Engineers, the Petroleum Society, and the Canadian Heavy Oil Association (CHOA) will convene in Calgary, Canada , to examine emerging technologies and other critical issues affecting the global heavy oil and bitumen industry. This unique, multi-disciplinary Conference will combine the SPE International Thermal Operations and Heavy Oil Symposium (ITOHOS) and the CHOA Annual Business Conference, and will be held on October 20 - 23, 2008 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
The theme for this year's Conference is "Heavy Oil - Integrating the Pieces". ITOHOS is an international conference and exhibition that showcases the most current heavy oil and bitumen technologies from around the world. The scope of the technical program will encompass the economic, technical, and environmental challenges that these sectors are currently facing.
This year's conference will be held from 20 - 23 October 2008 at Roundup Centre, Stampede Park in Calgary, Alberta.
