Graduate Student Presentation Competition

As part of the Petroleum Society's Canadian International Petroleum Conference 2009, the Organizing Committee is inviting abstracts of technical presentations from graduate students to present in a "Graduate Student Presentation Competition" on subjects related to all areas of the petroleum industry.

The main objective of this Competition is to encourage scholarship in petroleum industry-related research and to give the participating graduate students an opportunity to present their research work to petroleum industry experts from around the world. The presentations will be judged on technical content, applicability and overall presentation quality. A Best Graduate Student Presentation Award, as well as two runner-up awards will be given. The value of the three awards are $1250, $750 and $500 (Canadian), respectively.

The 20-minute presentation must be prepared by the graduate student on his/her research. The typed abstract should be no more than 300 words in length. Please provide your name, address, e-mail and telephone and fax numbers. Notification of acceptance of abstracts for the Competition will be made by March 3, 2009.
